EasyCover Terms and Conditions

EasyCover protects your parcel and its contents against loss from any external cause while in transit of delivery which is under the control of your selected courier. Senders shall be liable for the invoice value of the parcel lost. Failure to report your parcel lost along with the invoice can potentially result in no compensation being given.

1.0 Coverage Limit

The maximum coverage value of EasyCover is SGD 5,000 per parcel.

2.0 EasyCover Lost Parcel Report Time Frame

All claims must be notified by the Customer to an office of the Company in writing within 15th till 25th day from the collection date. Otherwise, EasyParcel reserves the right to decline/reject any reports if the submission is beyond the stated period above.

For example: –
Collection Date: 1st January 2021
Time frame to lodge a report/claim: 15th – 25th January 2021

3.0 Required Document(s) Upon EasyCover Claim

EasyParcel reserves the right to request a police report as supporting evidence for your EasyCover claim submission. This request is applicable for any parcels value more than SGD 200 or non-first timer with parcel value less than SGD 200.

4.0 Claim Processing Info

Payment Methods:-

    • EasyParcel Credit

The approved claim will be credited to your EasyParcel account instantly once it has been approved.

    • Bank Transfer

The approved claim will be transferred to your bank account within 7 – 14 working days once it has been approved.

The measure of compensation amount shall be based on the declared value of the shipped documents or goods by the customer/shipper stated during booking or the declared value stated on the invoice, whichever lower.

There shall be no refund on the shipping fee for all lost parcels.

5.0 Cancellation Policy/Return Policy

We take great pride in offering your parcel extra protection. Full refund is guaranteed upon cancellation prior to shipment by the sender. However, no refund will be given if the shipment has been processed and collected by the courier.

6.0 Policy Exclusions

EasyParcel shall have no responsibility in any manner whatsoever for the loss of any parcels under the following conditions will not be covered:

  1. The documents or parcels is insufficiently addressed, wrapped, or packed and/or incorrectly or contrary to the parcel requirements of the carrier being used;
  2. Bears an incorrect descriptive label or packaging describing the nature of the parcel’s contents;
  3. Any claim pertaining to the failure of computer software and/or computer data;
  4. Loss or liability, whether directly or indirectly, resulted from terrorism, war or strikes;
  5. Any claims for Public Liability, Bailees, Consequences Loss, Product Liability & Business Interruption Liability;
  6. Any claim arising from the Radioactive Contamination, Chemical, Biological, Bio-Chemical and Electromagnetic Weapons;
  7. Any claim arising from the detention of any documents or parcels by Customs or excise, Police or any other government agencies or bodies or officers;
  8. Any claim arising out of the loss of original and/or official documents e.g. Identity Card, Passport, Licence, Bank Draft, Bank Cheque, Money Order, Stamp, paperwork, photo, document, certificate, voucher and etc.

7.0 Void EasyCover Policy

This EasyCover Policy may be void for any of the following reasons:-

  1. Confiscation or Destruction under Customs Regulations;
  2. Confiscation by any government or public authority;
  3. Delay;
  4. Dishonesty;
  5. Hostile or Warlike Action (during peace and war);
  6. Illegal contraband;
  7. Illegal Transportation of Trade;
  8. Infidelity;
  9. Inherent Vice;
  10. Latent Defect;
  11. Loss of Market;
  12. Nuclear Exclusion;
  13. Other Deterioration;
  14. Remote or Consequential Loss;
  15. Delivering the product to someone who obtains it by trick, false pretense, or other fraudulent schemes

8.0 Coverage Conditions

Against loss or damage caused by or arising out of; a) hostile or warlike action in times of both peace and war, including action hindering, combating, or defending against an actual impending or expected attack; b) any weapon of combat employing atomic fission/fusion or any other radioactive force in times of both war and peace; c) insurrection, rebellion, revolution, civil war, usurped power, or action taken by government authority in hindering, combating or defending against such an occurrence, seizure or destruction under quarantine or customs regulations, confiscation by order of any government or public authority or risks of contraband or illegal transportation of trade.

Nuclear Exclusion. Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, it is hereby understood and agreed that this EasyCover Policy shall not apply to any loss or damage resulting from, whether directly or indirectly, nuclear reaction, radiation, or radioactive contamination, no matter what its cause. It is warranted by the coverage that all parcels under this EasyCover Policy coverage will be shipped in accordance with all regulations of the carrier and amendments thereof.

The deductible, if any, shall be deducted from the amount of the claim or liability limit, whichever is less, on a “per parcel” basis and borne by the sender. The sender is responsible for (and entitled to) collecting any amount for which the carrier may be liable.

9.0 EasyCover - Fraud Policy

By purchasing this EasyCover Policy, you hereby certify that all information provided is true, complete, and accurate.

You also understand that in the event of your information being found false or incorrect at any stage, such false or incorrect dishonesty statement may disqualify you for benefits or entitlements. Further, your action may be subject to prosecution under the relevant laws or regulations.

Any fraudulent claim will make the shipper and/or consignee liable for prosecution for mail fraud under federal crime code.
